Congrats to the Cypress Cove Family Aquatic Park lifeguard team for two outstanding audits from StarGuard Elite this summer and showing that their priority is maintaining a safe environment for Cypress Cove guests. They received five-star ratings for scanning and vigilance, and spinal injury management during a June audit, and they received an overall four-stars during their July audit. A special shout-out to lifeguard Kayla Jarosinski, who was observed throughout their audit in July for transcending the standard of what it means to be a StarGuard Elite lifeguard.
Swimming facilities are tested on a surprise basis by StarGuard Elite with the auditor blending in with typical facility users, in order to study the guards’ performance without their knowledge of the assessment taking place. While the guards supervise the pool from their chairs, the auditor evaluates and scores the guards’ performances of scanning of the facility. Once the hidden audit is completed, the auditor’s presence is announced and the auditor then selects lifeguards to respond to mock emergency scenarios.
